HIMSS has partnered with the University of Connecticut to offer members a certificate program in healthcare information technology and a graduate certificate program in biomedical informatics at a discounted fee. HIMSS members are eligible to receive a 5% discount on tuition for both these programs.
UCONN’s Certificate Program in Healthcare Information Technology is designed for entry to mid-level IT staff and is a noncredit certificate program which includes courses that integrate industry expertise with cutting-edge research. Students must take five courses to earn the certificate. Each course is five weeks long and offers asynchronous learning moderated by an online instructor with interaction between the instructor and fellow students.
