Authentic Patient Engagement in Action

June 29, 2022 | Chapter Event

Patients are the true experts on their own health care needs and experiences and yet too often they are left out of the conversation. Significant change comes from working together and recognizing that inviting patients, family members and caregivers to work in partnership with healthcare teams is an important step to delivering successful digital health projects. Innovation and technology needs to be connected to real problems and by co-developing solutions we can transform the digital healthcare field.

Join us for a session with the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council, where patient partners and project leaders will speak about how the principles of patient engagement have been applied to healthcare projects across British Columbia. We’ll explore what actions healthcare partners took to demonstrate the principles of patient engagement, what authentic patient engagement looks and feels like, and how successful partnerships ultimately lead to better project outcomes.
