Operational Readiness for Epic Implementation

Our November Virtual Event, on November 18th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm will feature Ricky Banks, Operational Consultant at Baylor Scott & White, and Yasmine Ghorbel, Analyst at Sendero Consulting, speaking on the topic: Operational Readiness for Epic Implementation: Super User Program & Provider Readiness at Baylor Scott & White.

Operational Readiness was imperative to the success of the numerous (12) Epic implementations across Baylor Scott & White hospitals in North Texas. Of these 12 implementations, the Super User Program and Provider Readiness Program prepared all staff and facilities to adapt to the change to Epic, a new EHR system, while continuing their duties without interruption. These programs identified qualified providers and nurses as the change champions of their facilities when they went live with Epic and beyond. We will discuss the components of each program, lessons learned, and their effectiveness regarding a successful transition into using Epic.
