Using AI to Detect Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse

The HIMSS Nevada Chapter is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a webinar on Using AI to detect Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse on November 17th, 2021, from noon to 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
A joint UNLV-SMU panel of experts will discuss the current state of AI models, Artificial Intelligence, to detect Medicare overbilling or fraud. They will discuss their approach and progress to build new AI models to detect fraud and abuse. They will discuss how they are using HHS public data sets on Medicare payments to providers (2013 to 2019) and a public dataset maintained by the Office of Inspector General on providers excluded from Medicare for past fraud and abuse through 2021.
