Acclaimed Young Scientist to Share Her Innovation Process at HIMSS21 Keynote

Gitanjali Rao, a 15-year-old scientist and inventor, will share her take on innovation, problem solving and being a role model at a HIMSS21 keynote session

A Bias Toward Action: A Young Innovator’s Message will take place from 8:30-9:30 a.m. PT Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom. This keynote prefaces the two-day Accelerate Health specialty program.

Rao has been honored as Time magazine’s “Top Young Innovator” and "Kid of the Year," as well as one of Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30 in Science.”

She has developed tech solutions for some of the world's most pressing issues, including access to clean water and early diagnosis of prescription opioid addiction. As the inventor of the Kindly app, which uses AI to detect and prevent cyberbullying and protect students, Rao is an inspiring voice of good.
