HIMSS Announces the Prestigious Future50 International 2019 European Cohort

The “who’s who” list of people shaping the future of healthcare using innovation and leadership to improve outcomes and patient-centred care delivery

Berlin, Germany- (8 October 2019) - Healthcare Information Management System and Society is announcing the Future50 International 2019, European Cohort. The Future50 2019 European community consist of 25 top leaders in five categories; Government, Innovation, Healthcare IT, Patient and Clinical from the digital health ecosystem across 11 different countries in Europe. The remaining 25 leaders will come from Asia Pacific (nominations closed) and the Middle East (nominations still open).

The HIMSS Future50 is an international initiative aimed at identifying and bringing together the top 50 Healthcare Information and Technology leaders in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. This global community will work alongside HIMSS and its partners to overcome current and future systemic health challenges by addressing gaps and needs at the local and regional levels. The five categories of the Community include;

Government Leader: Government officials and public servants who have made significant contribution in the development and implementation of healthcare policy that have helped deliver results and steer change using information and technology within the public health sector.

Healthcare IT Leader:  CEOs and IT directors who were able to identify and adopt the right digital strategy, and enablers to drive transformational change, leading to better and improved health outcomes for patients.

Clinical Leader: Clinicians, who have made exceptional contributions in the clinical practice, supported by information and technology tools, which have led to improvements in care delivery and positive outcomes for the patient.

Patient Leader: The Champions who brought the patient voice to the forefront in enabling a patient-centred delivery of care and co-creation with the clinical, innovation and policy space.

Innovation Leader: The people who have developed innovative solutions by harnessing emerging, disruptive and cutting-edge technology to address healthcare pain points.
