HIMSS Announced as Knowledge Partner at UK’s Leading Healthcare Technology Event

A digital maturity theatre, interactive sessions and full HIMSS TV coverage will all be part of the HIMSS @ HETT collaboration

LONDON, 9 August 2019: HIMSS has partnered with HETT (Healthcare Excellence Through Technology), a leading UK event attracting over 3,000 healthcare attendees, 130 speakers and 120 exhibitors. The event will be taking place on 1st and 2nd of October at ExCeL London, and HIMSS will be contributing to shaping educational sessions in a HIMSS @ HETT theatre, as well as providing HIMSS TV coverage and footage.

HETT’s mission is to bring together senior leaders and innovative tech suppliers from across healthcare to solve the sector’s most pressing challenges, such as utilising technology to overcome workforce challenges and driving interoperability standards during transformation and integration projects.

As a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of health through information and technology, HIMSS is a unique partner for HETT, offering a depth and breadth of expertise in health innovation, public policy, workforce development, research and analytics.

As a Knowledge Partner, HIMSS will contribute to HETT in three main areas:

  1. HIMSS@HETT theatre: Global thought leadership on digital maturity will be curated as part of the main HIMSS@HETT theatre. Theatre sessions will address topics including AI Screening, Robotics in Social Care, and Digital Pharmacy, amongst others. In addition, Charles Alessi, Chief Clinical Officer of HIMSS International, and John Rayner, Regional Director – Europe for HIMSS Analytics, will be speaking as part of the HETT content programme.
  2. Interactive sessions: As part of the curated programme HIMSS is bringing to HETT, delegates will get the chance to actively participate in the creation of a Digital Roadmap for their hospitals, as well as hearing first hand from successful implementation projects from GDEs and Hospital Trusts across the UK and beyond.
  3. HIMSS TV: HIMSS’ online broadcasting network, focused on global innovation and how technology is driving change in healthcare, will be present at HETT. HIMSS TV editors will be interviewing speakers and industry leaders at HETT, while addressing key conference topics, announcements and trends.
