Leia Bradford

HIMSS serves the global health information and technology communities with focused operations across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our members include more than 80,000 individuals, 480 provider organizations, 470 non-profit partners and 650 health services organizations. The HIMSS staff is made up of changemakers who collaborate with members to reform the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.

How long have you been at HIMSS?

I’ve been at HIMSS since September 2019.

How do you support our mission statement?

I recruit talent who embody our core values and are actively becoming Changemakers in the world. Becoming a Changemaker means empowering teams to make real impact. Reform does not come easy in our work and we must build teams with a culture that helps us to really make a difference. I engage with candidates to understand their passion to drive change by asking questions around belonging, simplicity, curiosity, tenacity and integrity. This helps me align potential talent with our goal to reimagine the health ecosystem.

How do you know your work at HIMSS makes a difference?

I have impact on the business and culture by attracting top talent to HIMSS to continue to move the innovation in the global ecosystem. I love the feeling of knowing that I matched the perfect candidate to a team. My goal is to be to the internal customer service agent that understands the needs of the business and finds the perfect fit.
