Tom Leary is vice president, government relations for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), where he leads the organization’s public policy initiatives, policy analysis, and outreach.

Tom also serves as the executive director of the HIMSS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of HIMSS, which offers non-partisan education, student scholarships to advance health information and management-related fields, and internship opportunities through the Institute for e-Health Policy.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree in History/Political Science from Rutgers University, his master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University, and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association Executives.
