Leaping Forward: Leave no Population Behind

Technology leaps forward to solve problems at a breakneck pace. Companies race to stay ahead of one another, to be in the lead and healthcare is no different when it comes to this race. One of the problems with this race is when people or populations are left behind in the race.

Ken Goodman, founder and director of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy and co-director of the university’s Ethics Programs, will discuss this struggle and how healthcare has taken steps toward looking backwards but also how the industry has to step up its efforts, because unlike entertainment or automotives, leaving people behind in healthcare can have disasterous results as has been recently seen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
