DHAGE Mind the Digital Health Gap: Inclusion & Trust

As Europe recovers from the pandemic and is set to fulfil the promise of the European Health Data Space, policy-makers have the responsibility to facilitate a sustainable digital transformation in healthcare to ensure that successful digital solutions accelerated by COVID will benefit entire populations. Over the last couple of years, the Digital Health Advisory Group for Europe (DHAGE), a thought leadership platform for key decision-makers in Europe, has addressed issues that are paramount in achieving better health and wellbeing for all, including health equity, digital inclusion and the ethical use of data. This year the topic has turned to how to earn, maintain and regain trust in digital health services in order to trigger long term positive outcomes for society. What would an ecosystem that is built on trust look like? In this session DHAGE members will discuss how to bridge the gaps to maximise the full potential of digital health services in the future across Europe.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Examine what trust means within the context of the European Health Data Space and digital therapeutics.
  • Discuss how to bridge the gaps to maximise the full potential of digital health services in the future across Europe.
  • Understand how to earn, maintain and regain trust in digital health services in order to trigger long term positive outcomes for society.
