Driving Italy's Post-Covid 19 Recovery Through eHealth – Women at the Helm

An unprecedented funding programme has been made available by the European Union to support the post-COVID19 recovery of the Italian infrastructures.  A significant part of this funding will be dedicated to Healthcare, and most of this will be invested into eHealth development. The different lines of investment, ranging from the further development of the national Electronic Health Record (Fascicolo Sanitario Elettronico) to a national Telemedicine platform and a deep restructuring of primary care, will be managed by different levels and actors of the National Health System.  Representatives of the national and regional levels will present the framework and its challenges.
The community of professionals that will lead the development of this four years investment venture will comprise several female professionals, whose role is increasingly present at all levels of management.
