Hermina was founded in 1985 with the opening of its first maternity hospital, which was then upgraded to become a mother and child hospital in 1989.

With a strong heritage in mother and child health services, the Company is well recognized for its comprehensive care in said areas. On top of that, Hermina Hospitals also provide a range of specialty medical services, including complex surgical procedures, laboratory services, radiology and imaging facilities, fertility treatment as well as general healthcare, pharmacy, diagnostic and emergency services.

Backed by its unique ‘doctor partnership’ business model, over the years, the Company has grown to become one of Indonesia’s reputable private hospital groups. It has a proven track record in successfully developing new hospitals and optimizing capacity, while maintaining a healthy level of profitability.

By end of 2021, Hermina Hospitals comprised of 43 hospitals with a total of 5,877 hospital beds and 13,361 employees, serving over 5.3 million outpatients and inpatients across Indonesia.
