Have you ever felt like an impostor? Surprisingly, 70% of adults report having thought that they are an impostor at least one time. Impostor experience is thinking that people have an exaggerated view of your abilities and that you will be exposed as a fraud. Feeling like an impostor can have negative impacts, such as perfectionism, procrastination, anxiety, depression and burnout. But it has also been associated with improved performance and better interpersonal relationships. In this session, review strategies to reduce feeling like an impostor, including documenting your successes, focusing on yourself, conquering your inner critic, social support and more.
