Governance & Ethical Challenges in Health Information Exchanges

When it comes to constructing governance models to build Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), what are the important elements to consider? This session will take a deep dive into the governance and ethical challenges related to HIEs and data exchanges, looking at governance with risk and compliance (GRC). Experts will examine topics such as how governance models affect insurance sustainability and how HIE governance can help in delivering effective implementation. They will also take a look at the major regulatory standards relating to HIE across the Middle East region, highlighting the main challenges to implementation and discussing how we can work towards achieving standardisation of these regulations. The session will also explore the data privacy and security considerations that need to be included in governance models for building HIEs.
