Nordic Workshop

The HIMSS Nordic community welcomes delegates from the Nordic countries to join them for a workshop diving deeper into the Nordic health portals and exploring how these can be leveraged to their full potential. The session will start by reviewing current implementations before moving the focus onto the future of digital health in the Nordics. What steps are being taken in the respective countries to improve the portals and what more needs to be done? We will also look at the impact of the European Health Data Space (EHDS), which is at the core of a unified European strategy for health data and its use for care, public health, research and a more value-based healthcare ecosystem. We will discuss how the EHDS will affect the pre-existing Nordic digital health efforts. There will be an update on the consequences of the EHDS for governments and vendors, before continuing the conversation in a moderated discussion which will invite audience participation.

Learning objectives:

  • Discuss the Nordic health portals and how they can be leveraged to their full potential.
  • Examine what steps are being taken in the respective countries to improve the Nordic health portals.
  • Understand how the European Health Data Space will affect the pre-existing Nordic digital health efforts.
