Christel Anderson is the Vice President of Informatics for HIMSS, a mission driven non-profit, global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of health through the application of information and technology. Anderson joined HIMSS in 2006 in Clinical Informatics and from Chicago leads a team of subject matter experts to execute global initiatives for HIMSS including interoperability, standards and clinical informatics.

Over the past decade she has lectured, co-lead research and published internationally in the field of Informatics. In 2020, she has contributed to the field of Informatics by: advancing clinician innovation & entrepreneurship; building a community ecosystem for digital health developers; supporting grant work with the CDC and HHS-ONC; serving on the editorial team at Nurse Management Journal and OJNI; and supporting Big Data work with academic partners.
