Dr. Cho is a neurosurgeon, also the superintendent of China Medical University Hospital (CHUH), top ranking of medical center in Taiwan. He was dedicated to develop medical AI and cell therapy in past many years. To build a smart hospital of CMUH, we applied telemedicine of electrocardiogram (ECG) in ambulance to early detect acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and to shorten door to balloon time in 32 minutes. We also developed smart antimicrobial platform to early detect bacteria resistant strains within one hour and to deliver sepsis warning signs. In cell therapy, he was interested in development of dendritic cell (DC), cytokine-induced kill cell (CIK), and gamma delta cell (GDT) therapies for solid tumors. Recently, he innovated a state-of-art of allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor with bispecific T cell engagers (CAR.BiTE) for on-going phase I/II clinical trial application to treat lung, colorectal, and breast cancers.
