Jonathan P. Weiner, DrPH, is a professor of health policy and management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. He is also a professor of health sciences informatics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Weiner is an internationally regarded health services researcher, consultant and lecturer. His areas of expertise include integrated delivery systems and primary care, quality of care measurement in the ambulatory and managed care sectors, case-mix and risk adjustment, health care workforce planning, and the application of digital data sources to research, analysis, and care improvement.

During his 30+ year career at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Weiner served as the director of the health services research and policy PhD program and as the deputy director of the Health Services Research and Development Center.

He is the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Population Health IT (CPHIT), an innovative cross-disciplinary center focusing on the application of EHR, e-health and m-health data sources to public health, population health and health care system improvement. Dr. Weiner is the co-developer and team leader of the Johns Hopkins ACG case-mix / predictive modeling system. The ACG System is a widely used methodology that is the basis of over 700 scientific articles and a software tool operationally applied by hundreds of private and public organizations to manage the care of 100+ million patients across the US and in more than 16 nations. ACGs are the largest technology transfer success at Johns Hopkins.
