Maayke Klinkenberg is senior advisor at Nictiz, the Dutch national competence centre for electronic exchange of health and care information. After initial experiences as an information analist in the airline and banking industry, she discovered the world of IT and healthcare in 2005. In 2012 she completed her PdEng in Clinical Informatics at Eindhoven University of Technology. For Nictiz, she applies her experiences in hospital IT nowadays in European projects, international workgroups and in a successful initiative that supports cross-border digital information exchange in healthcare collaborations along the borders with Germany and Belgium. Her aim is to ensure the alignment between international and Dutch interoperability developments as well as to apply these developments in everyday reality of healthcare professionals and individuals.
