Mauricio Angee is currently the chief information security officer (CISO) at GenesisCare, which operates 14 treament centres in the UK, 21 in Spain, 36 in Australia and 300 in the U.S. Mauricio is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP) with 30+ years of experience in healthcare, banking and financial services, hospitality, and the government sector. He has a strong background in cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management.

Mauricio previously served as the CISO at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach where he was responsible for setting the roadmap and strategy for the protection of information assets. Mauricio also served as vice president of information security at Mercantil Bank, where he was responsible for information security operations, compliance, and IT security risk management. Mauricio earlier served as chief information security officer at Universal Orlando Parks and Resorts (Universal Studios Florida), and also as information systems security officer at Harris Corporation, supporting the Federal Aviation Administration Telecommunications Infrastructure and the US Census Bureau. In his ISSO role, he successfully coordinated the security certification and accreditation activities, and developed the incident response capabilities.

Mauricio also worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), where he supported the IT security operations of the Kennedy Space Center.

Mauricio is currently pursuing his Executive Doctorate degree in Information Security at St. Thomas University.
