Michael Capriotti is vice president of integration at Virtua Health, the largest health system in Southern New Jersey. Capriotti has been responsible for designing and implementing the integration of business operations and achieving the committed results of the Virtua Health acquisition of the Our Lady of Lourdes Health System. In his role, he manages Virtua’s Integration Management Office and provides leadership and direction in the development and execution of integration strategies, including prioritization and quantification of synergistic cost reduction and growth opportunities.

Prior to his role in integration, Capriotti was the Vice President of Integrated Care Management where he helped determine the vision, strategy, and tactical plans for care coordination across Virtua’s entire continuum. He was responsible for the strategic development of Virtua’s navigation program as well as overseeing Virtua’s Access Navigation Center, centralized scheduling/registration, hospital operators as well as surgical scheduling.

Capriotti has more than 19 years of health care experience and was instrumental in developing the concept for Virtua’s Access Center and its Personal Health Navigation Service. Today, Virtua’s Access Center manages more than 2.3 million calls a year. While in development, Capriotti served as the Green Belt and process owner for the Navigation Design for Six Sigma project.

Capriotti has been affiliated with Virtua since 2001. Prior to his responsibilities with the Access Center, he worked as Virtua’s Director of Marketing Communications where he oversaw the strategic marketing for Virtua’s programs of excellence. While with marketing, he won several national awards for his marketing plans and creative work.
