Dr. Othman Yousef AlKassabi is the Health Sector Chief Executive Officer of the Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), the pioneering insurance company in KSA and the Middle East.
Dr. AlKassabi joined Tawuniya in 2021. He oversees Tawuniya’s Health Insurance which is the company’s largest sector. His broad range of responsibilities include the management of medical and Takaful insurance plans, medical services providers, medical approvals, claims, quality & commitment, fraud detection & prevention, and managing of underwriting and technical affairs.
Before joining Tawuniya, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer at The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance. Prior to that he held the role of Medical advisor at Rotana Media Group, Corporate Development Manager at Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, and other positions.
Dr. AlKassabi holds PhD of Physical Therapy/ Therapist from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, an executive master of business administration and international management form Alymamah University, KSA, Research MBA in Business Administration from Port Vagen, Germany, and post to graduate diploma in marketing from Washington State University.
In addition to his responsibilities at Tawuniya, Dr. Othman is a Board member of Zahra Association and the Saudi Society for Physiotherapy, in addition to his interests in voluntary works and health awareness, where he published many researches in this field.
