Greater Kansas City HIMSS Call For Presentations

The GKC HIMSS Board is delighted to announce a call for presentations from our HIMSS membership. We continue to be hard at work creating great programming for you, but would love the opportunity for our partners to share their services, solutions, and most of all, outcomes, with our membership!

Presentation Information

  • All presentations will be virtual Lunch & Learn presentations. Should you prefer an in-person presentation, your organization is responsible for providing a venue and refreshments for attendees.
  • Virtual presentations will be 30 minutes in length, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. In person presentations can be longer, at the discretion of the presenter(s).
  • Presentations must be presented as a case study (not a sales pitch); if the presentation is from a vendor partner, preference will be given to vendor partners who co-present with a client (i.e., health system, provider group, etc., which does not need to be KC-based).

Submitting a Potential Presentation

If you are interested in presenting to our membership, please submit the following by
March 1st to be considered for April-July presentations. We will do another call for presentations later in the summer.

 

 

Selection Process and HIMSS Support

  • A subgroup of the GKC HIMSS Board will select presentations based upon a grading scale, which focuses on content, relevance to the HIMSS membership, and case study depth (v. sales pitch).
  • HIMSS will respond to each submission with information for why they were or were not selected, to allow those that were not selected to revise their submission for future opportunities to present.
  • HIMSS will provide marketing to our membership via e-mail, our website, and LinkedIn, and will provide a solution for RSVPs.
  • HIMSS will NOT provide the presenter with attendee names and e-mails unless they opt in to be contacted.
