I am a specialist in Gastrointestinal and General Surgery and an active researcher with a Ph.D. degree. I have participated in more than 100 scientific articles (colorectal surgery, surgical education, surgical technology) including 66 PubMed publications, and have written 6 book chapters. I have worked for three years as a research leader (combined with clinical surgery and Ph.D. dissertation) at the Norwegian Telemedicine Centre. I have two years of experience (research fellow/postdoctoral fellow) from the Department of Colorectal Surgery, University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland, and the USA. In 2014 I was a visiting professor at Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  I am a visiting professor at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Columbia University, New York. In January 2021 I started as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Oslo and Head Division of Surgery CAMPUS Ahus, Akershus University Hospital, Oslo, Norway.
