Sami is a co-founder and the Sr. Executive Director of ATSS , a subsidiary of Mawarid Media and Communications Group (MMCG) and co-creator the Wave4 Digital eXperience laboratories (Wave4 DX Labs), a Riyadh-based IoT & Digital Transformation Laboratory launched by ATSS in 2020 in partnership with HCL Technologies.

Prior to his engagement at ATSS, Sami served for more than 20 years in the senior ranks of Global Security, Consulting, and Investment firms where he helped shape and execute the transformational programs of prominent Private and Public Organizations in in the US and Gulf Region.

In his capacity as  Chief Strategy Officer of YASHAT and later as Chief Executive Officer of YAHLIVE, a YAHSAT and SES Joint Venture, Sami led the rollout out of growth-accelerating strategies that resulted in the successful commercialization of Satellite Broadband, Video and Data Network platforms across 4 continents. Today YAHSAT is the world's 6th largest satellite operator with USD 400 million in annual revenue and operating in more than 130 countries. Previous to his role at Yashat, Sami helped lead and shape all the lifecycle stages of major Space and Telecom programs of the MUBADALA development company, a strategic Global Investment Arm of the Government of the UAE and parent company of Yahsat. As former Senior Associate at BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON, Sami co-led the firm’s Satellite Platform where he delivered Business and Technical consulting services to prominent ICT Companies in the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to his work in the Middle East, Sami served as SATCOM Systems Lead at NORTHROP GRUMMAN in the US, where he was in charge of the Systems Engineering team developing satellite resource planning applications for DCS-III and Wideband Gapfiller Programs.
