Felix Balzer, MD, MSc, PhD

Felix Balzer is a professor for E-Health and Shared Decision Allocation at Einstein Center Digital Future as well as member of its executive board. He teaches Medical Data Science both at Charité and Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and heads the interdisciplinary research group “Medical Data Science”. From his background, he is both a board certified anesthesiologist and a computer scientist. Since June 2020, he serves as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Charité. His research is at the intersection of health care and informatics with a focus on the identification of security-related process indicators in perioperative and critical care.
