Sofie is a Dutch health and data law expert. She is also chair of the board of foodwatch Netherlands and a diversity & inclusion advocate. 

In her previous positions as attorney at law in the field of life sciences and as a legal advisor at the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Sofie specialized in legal and regulatory issues related to medicinal products and medical devices, with a special focus on medical software, big data and data protection. 

Before joining the Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate this year Sofie has gained broad experience dealing with various kinds of legal issues in both profit and non-profit environments.
