Tarja Stenvall has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across different geographies, healthcare systems and therapy areas.  

As a Senior Vice President for Key Markets at Sanofi she holds accountability for 11 diverse Key Markets across the globe encompassing over 4,200 employees. She is focusing on major global health topics especially related to chronic conditions such as cardiovascular, diabetes and transplant. She is actively engaged with healthsystems and governments to find new solutions such as local manufacturing or using digital and real world evidence.  

Tarja lived and worked in several countries over her career, with roles such as General Manager for United Kingdom based in London, and Vice President for vaccines in Latin America based in Panama. She has been an active board member in different  pharma assocations and has concluded several major collaboration projects such as a public-private partnership in Mexico including construction of a leading edge flu vaccine facility. Prior to Sanofi she has worked in other global companies namely AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Today she is based in Paris, France, at Sanofi Headquarters. 

Tarja is Finnish. She holds a degree in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland and an MBA from the University of South Carolina USA.
