Healthcare is undergoing a wholesale transformation and shift towards privatisation in Saudi Arabia in line with the ambitions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Key to the restructure are plans to regionalise healthcare services through development of twenty-one semi-autonomous Health Clusters, spearheaded by the trailblazing Eastern Health Cluster that has been up-and-running for more than a year. The scale of this transformation - mirroring the development of Integrated Care Systems in the UK - has grabbed the attention of other GCC and Middle East nations as they plan the future of their own health services. Join this session to learn more about these embryonic Accountable Care Organisations and share in key lessons from the Eastern Cluster.
Through attending this session you will:
-
Gain insight into the structural changes resulting from the healthcare transformation of Saudi Arabia
-
Understand the agenda and requirements of a modern Accountable Care Organisation
-
Explore the key components required to integrate care across a regional healthcare system.
-
Understand the steps required to integrate digital healthcare in a multi-site, regional health system (which previously ran on disparate systems).
